The importance of Self-care
Today has been a beautiful day. I finally did something I needed to do which was get a massage. It really helped me to relax and relieve some of the pain in my back and neck.
I sit for 9 hours a day and my body pays for it. I finally did something I needed to do and scheduled a massage.
This was not the cheapest option, but man it was a great one.

What's up, Saturday?
On the menu today is Bacon Chowder. This an AIP recipe that I tweaked. The original had fish in it and that is a NAY NAY!!
Bacon, onion, sweet potatoes, and stock is all it takes to make a delicious soup that will make everyone think you have been in the kitchen for hours.
start by frying up six pieces of bacon. After it is halfway done, throw in the onions. Once the onions are cooked as well as the bacon, remove to a bowl. then throw in your sweet potatoes. You can use white sweet potatoes or regular sweet potatoes. It does not matter for this recipe. Throw in enough stock to cover and simmer til fork tender. After, puree the sweet potato and broth mixture. Get it to the consistency you like (I leave in several chunks). Throw the onion and bacon back in and serve.
